The Root of My Problem: Real Genius.
Well, I figured out where my love of geeks and nerds comes from. My favorite movie when I was a kid was Real Genius. Chris Knight is my ultimate guy. Super smart. Nerd. Geek. Hot. Smartass. Party. Smartass. Kind of a dick. A smartass that is smarter than you are.
I loved all the stuff that the nerds came up with in the movie: the dry ice slide, lasers, threw smarty pants parties. I loved that they could come up with crazy science-y party things. And Chris Knight was the hottie nerd king. To this day, that’s probably what I’m really looking for.
This is a pretty significant breakthrough. I always thought I was drawn to geeks bc I’m so nerdy myself. But it’s really because I want a Chris Knight.
And leave it to the work husband to put it into perspective: “Well no wonder you have a hard time finding guys. You think nerds are Chris Knight. But they really are Laszlo. The guy in Chris Knight’s closet.”
